Market square in Staveley is now open following a complete redesign that also involved constructing a new Pavilion Library building
We wanted to keep the best aspects of the square including retaining mature trees and capture the distinctive character and history of Staveley whilst at the same time creating a new space the town can use and be proud of.

The square has new high quality paving for improved accessibility, new lighting, seating and planting to make it a more inviting environment, whilst CCTV is carefully integrated to help ensure the town remains a safe place to visit. The natural play area which was designed in consultation with students from Staveley Junior School is key to unlocking the potential of the space to be a place for the whole community and increasing footfall for business’s on the square
