David Hockney Building

A complete re imagination of the Bradford College City Centre Campus. Working with Bond Bryan and Turner & Townsend we have been responsible for developing a significant Public Realm and Landscape Strategy which was further developed into detailed proposals, approved at planning stage (we produced an LVIA as part of the applications), and the project is now complete.

This tight city-centre site in Bradford involves a number of challenges.

Most significant is topography, with pronounced level changes across the entire site, and the need to work within a framework of existing buildings to be demolished as part of construction phasing. We have responded to the needs of students and staff by creating a new heart to the Campus,  a College Green, which steps down a series of terraces to provide much needed open space.
