Middlewood Locks next stages win Planning Approval

urban square

Last Thursday, the latest phases of this prestigious development on the edge of Manchester city centre were unanimously granted approval.

Middlewood Locks is a waterside residential development near to Salford Central Rail Station, centred around a section of the Manchester-Bolton canal. It has been designed a city neighbourhood with community at its heart – it offers a home for both businesses and people to thrive.

Unlike anywhere else in the city, Middlewood Locks enjoys generous public open green spaces and a beautiful waterfront setting. The development will become a gateway neighbourhood to the city centre and form a new link
in the chain of other popular inner city areas such as Spinningfields, New Bailey and Castlefield.

The proposals include podium gardens and terraces, equipped with pergola and hanging chairs, kitchen garden, seating pods, human size chess and playful timber seating.
