Cadley Park on Track

South Derbyshire District Council have unanimously approved our designs for a new £1.1million Park in Swadlincote.

Situated between Cadley Village housing site and the golf course, the new 5.1 hectare park forms part of a wider 200-acre Masterplan and was formerly known as Cadley Hill Colliery.

Partially funded by Sport England and British Cycling it will have a focus on cycling incorporating a pump track, 1.14km family cycle route and a designated learn to ride zone.

The design includes a pedestrian and cycle bridge across over a small small river with onward connections to Swadlincote Town Centre. There will be extensive meadow seeding and woodland planting as well as colourful perennial planting and seating areas.

Designs have been prepared in collaboration with Turner+Townsend, Alan Wood & Partners, Middlemarch Environmental and Clark & Kent.

The park should be open to the public by October..
