Care UK wanted us to review their current landscape schemes and propose a new strategy for their sites that would offer increased benefits to their residents health and wellbeing. Snowdrop house was the first scheme that was implemented.
To make the landscape feel more homelike for residents, we took a gardenesque approach to the design and created a series of smaller gardens within the larger space, each offering different activities and a different character of planting for the residents and their families to enjoy.
The gardens included a water feature, social outdoor kitchen space with a herb garden, sensory planting, growing space, a spring garden and a rain garden.
