We are delighted with the planning approval of Playhouse Square in Harlow, which was granted unanimously last week. The mixed-use development, as part of an arts & cultural quarter, includes a significant element of new Public Realm which will transform this area of Harlow, funded through the LUF.
The scheme also includes a detached extension to the existing Playhouse Theatre, comprising of creative studios, a performing arts space, music school, recording studio and cafe. The officers report for approval confirmed “the proposed public realm is considered exemplar and would provide significant improvements to the west of Harlow”
This project signifies a significant milestone in the work we are carrying out, in collaboration with McBains, to regenerate the town centre.
