Ares Design Prize Winner

Rhiannon Marshall has been announced as the winner of the second ever Ares Design Prize, with her final year project “like a duck to water“.

An extensive exploration of historic and future interactions between humans and waters, she used Canvey Island as testing ground for how a collaborative existence could be shaped through design. Breaking down boundaries, designing adaptive and responsive places, she creates a highly usable environment that celebrates land and water.

The competition format was left intentionally loose to encourage the widest possible range of entries. Rhiannon’s project was chosen after an open studio vote by all members of Ares Staff.

Sheerin Din has been selected as Runner Up for her project of a Bristol Circular Hub.
